Can Diet Help with Hot Flashes?

A recent study showed eating soy (tofu or soy beans) every day can reduce moderate to severe hot flashes by 84%. From almost 5 a day to fewer than 1. It's got to be worth a go if you're suffering.

The research was co-authored by a vegan advocate so there maybe a hidden agenda in there. The women studied were put on a plant based diet. However, there are other stories of women in Japan and China having an easier transition through menopause and it's thought it's down to consuming quality soy (not ultra processed stuff). And the Chinese are not widely regarded as high up in vegan activism!

Loads of brands do organic tofu now and Sainsbury's has a great sushi counter - they have boxes of fresh edamame beans.
